What was the highlight of Ilsetra Hotell
5 nights in beautiful surroundings
Beautiful surroundings, great cross country skiing. Super nice main house for relaxation, eating, and drinking. The staff was friendly, service was good. The food was exceptional, but expensive for dinners, ending up costing as much as lodging, still well worth it. Guest house flat was not the best suited for winter sports, with no real entre for talking off ski clothes or boots, but otherwise great for the three of us. No room service, but helpful staff for replacement trowels on inquiry. Overall excellent stay, would love to come back.
Dangerous icy conditions outside room to main house. Pool was surrounded by pure ice, quite scary, but awesome to bathe in pool and relaxing in sauna.

Bad Stay! Overpriced!
We got a room on the gabel side on the ground floor. No views even though we booked a big room with 4 beds. The pool was open for 2 hours in the morning(overlapping with the breakfast timings) and 1hour in the evening. The sauna was only available in the evening. We checked in after 8 o'clock in the evening. So we couldn't access the sauna. Too pricey for the facilities we could access.

Perfect Norwegian winter getaway
Exceptionally beautiful location - charming main house with lovely rest areas and gorgeous views of the snow covered mountains. 2 bedroom appartment hood size for a family of four. Nice pool and sauna. Very nice staff that did more than could be expected to help make our stay a great experience.
